Job summary

Grw Talent’s client, a Scottish-based international industrial textiles business, is hiring an Assistant Accountant in Kirriemuir with hybrid working options. You will support month-end close, manage the nominal ledger, and help with cash flow forecasts and invoice finance arrangements.

The role offers a permanent salary package and a 40-hour week with some flexibility around hours, with occasional Dundee-site days. PQ or QBE is acceptable and prior treasury exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience with reconciliations and nominal ledgers in a busy finance environment.
• Strong cash flow forecasting capabilities and debtor/creditor ledger management.
• Familiarity with invoice finance arrangements is a plus.

PERMANENT ROLE | KIRRIEMUIR, ANGUS & DUNDEE, HYBRID

Grw Talent’s client is a well-established and fast-growing international industrial and technical textiles business, with a rich history of textile manufacturing in Scotland dating back to the late 1800s. With operations across Scotland, the USA and China, the business is currently undertaking a major investment programme to consolidate its two Scottish sites into a new state-of-the-art facility in Dundee. They are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the finance team, with a particular focus on treasury and transactional finance.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will support the finance function across a range of key areas, including:

• Supporting month-end close and key account reconciliations
• Daily nominal ledger management and control
• Assisting with rolling weekly cash flow forecasts
• Managing Debtor and Creditor Ledgers
• Credit control and payment management
• Supporting wider treasury activities
• Working with invoice finance arrangements

We are looking for someone who is:

• PQ or QBE
• Experienced within a busy finance environment
• Confident with reconciliations and nominal ledger management
• Experienced in managing debtor and creditor ledgers
• Comfortable working with cash flow forecasting
• Experienced with Invoice Finance
• Exposure to Trade Loans would be advantageous but is not essential
