Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Finance Assistant for an established manufacturing organisation based in Dundee. This ongoing temporary role involves accounts receivable, credit control, contract billing and financial analysis within a small finance team.

You'll work closely with the Assistant Business Controller and colleagues across the wider business, using Excel for reporting and analytics to support revenue accuracy.

Qualifications

Dundee | £29,000 FTE | Ongoing Temporary Contract |

An opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems and building relationships with customers.

Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Finance Assistant for an established manufacturing organisation based in Dundee.

This is an ongoing temporary opportunity, offering a mixture of accounts receivable, credit control, contract billing and financial analysis.

You'll join a small finance team, working closely with the Assistant Business Controller and colleagues across the wider business.

The Role

As Finance Assistant, you'll be responsible for:

• Accounts Receivable: Managing customer accounts, credit control, payment allocations and reconciliations.
• Billing & Analysis: Reviewing contracts, investigating invoice discrepancies and ensuring accurate revenue reporting.
• Excel & Reporting: Using Excel to analyse financial information, prepare reports and identify discrepancies.
• Stakeholder Communication: Working with customers, sales teams and internal colleagues to resolve queries and outstanding payments.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a finance, accounts receivable or credit control position.
• Good understanding of financial accounting, including general ledger and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to create and use pivot tables.
• Confident written and verbal communication skills, particularly when dealing with customers.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Experience with SAP, Salesforce or Power BI.
• Experience analysing contracts, billing or revenue.
• AAT, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualifications.

You don't need experience with every system listed. The client is happy to provide training on its internal systems, including Power BI, provided you have strong core finance and Excel skills.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £29,000 per annum (FTE equivalent), paid hourly.
• Location: Dundee.
• Contract: Ongoing temporary assignment.
• Working pattern: Full-time, office-based initially with hybrid introduced, typically 2–3 days in the office after training.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–4:30pm.
• Start date: As soon as possible.
