Job Opportunity: Assistant Accountant

Location: Driffield

Type: Full-time | Permanent

Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a growing business seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team in Driffield. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career growth in accounting, working closely with a knowledgeable Finance Manager and gaining practical experience in core month-end processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with month-end close, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating discrepancies
• Supporting the production of management accounts and financial reports
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Liaising with internal departments to ensure accurate financial data
• Supporting ad hoc finance projects and audits as required

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in a similar finance role (e.g., Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant)
• AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA (preferred but not essential)
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software
• Keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
