Job description

My client, based in central Manchester, is a fast growing B2B Sales/Rental SME.

This highly successful and profitable owner managed Limited company, currently t/o £15m, is poised at an exciting stage of its growth strategy.

A new Assistant Accountant career opportunity has been created with full Study Support to strengthen the growing Finance team.

This is a fully hands-on, on site role as part of a close-knit cohesive Finance team - my client therefore only wishes to consider applications from candidates living within commutable range of Central Manchester.

Reporting directly to a high calibre Financial Controller, this is an excellent career opportunity to gain a broad base of Accounts experience and Study Support to facilitate your career progression.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Efficient and timely processing of Purchase and Sales Ledgers plus all other daily financial transactions.
• Credit Control and cash management control.
• Bank and Accounts reconciliations.
• Input to the production of monthly management accounts.
• Input to the year-end statutory accounts process, including liaison with the Auditors.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with good hands-on Accounts and Excel spreadsheets experience who is keen to progress their career with a successful SME - as stated, my client will provide the "right candidate" with the coaching and support, including Study Support for AAT/CIMA/ACCA, to be successful in this role and develop their experience in line with this growing company.

My client offers a competitive starting salary between £25k-£32k (depending on current level of experience) + Benefits + Study Support.
