Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is assisting an established manufacturing business in recruiting an assistant accountant to join the finance team. The successful candidate will be AAT qualified or working towards a professional qualification and will develop in a supportive environment.

The role covers management accounts, financial reporting, payroll support and month-end processes, with a focus on accurate financial information to aid business decisions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

An established manufacturing business is looking to recruit an

assistant accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is AAT qualified or currently studying towards a professional accountancy qualification and looking to develop their career within a supportive environment.

Working closely with the finance team, you'll play a key role in the preparation of management accounts, financial reporting, payroll support and month-end processes, ensuring accurate financial information is produced to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Produce accurate financial reports and reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

About You

• AAT qualified or currently studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA or a similar accounting qualification.
• Previous experience assisting with management accounts.
• Experience with stock reconciliations and fixed asset registers.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Previous experience within manufacturing or a regulated industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
