Yorkshire Clinic - Bingley

Full Time 37.5 Hours

The role is based at our Yorkshire Clinic, Cottingley Business Park in Bingley. The Yorkshire Clinic is one of West Yorkshire's leading private hospitals, part of Ramsay Health Care UK, one of the leading independent healthcare providers in England.

The hospital opened in 1982 and has built an excellent reputation for delivering first class healthcare for patients with health insurance, patients who are self-funding treatment and NHS patients exercising choice through the e-referral system.

The Role

The Assistant Accountant will play a key role in monitoring and reconciling NHS Debt, working closely with Business Office to ensure efficient revenue capture and accurate reporting delivering a comprehensive management accounting function, as well as assisting NHS activity submissions, as well as ad hoc analysis as and when required. This is a practical role and is expected to have a meaningful impact on the running of the site.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the production of monthly management accounts

Production of timely and accurate statistical and financial information for a range of internal and external stakeholders

Provide information and support to hospital managers and staff as and when required

Managing NHS debt ( Credit Control )

Ensuring NHS Invoicing captures the revenue accurately ( working with Business Office, reconciling PLCM )

Providing cover for colleagues in the team

Undertaking support for hospital projects and initiatives, under the direction of the Head of Finance and Senior Leadership Team

Deputise for the Head of Finance as and when appropriate

What you will bring with you

Previous experience in a management accounting role (preferably in a Healthcare environment)

Part qualified / working towards an accountancy qualification such as AAT or CIMA

Proven ability to work to deadlines

Advanced Computer Skills (particularly Microsoft Excel)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business

Demonstrated Customer Service skills in line with the Ramsay Way Vision and Values
