Job summary

Cobalt Housing is seeking an Asset Surveyor to survey and inspect a portfolio of around 6,000 homes, collecting and analysing asset data to inform investment priorities and regulatory compliance.

You will diagnose building defects, identify practical solutions, undertake EPC surveys, and perform HHSRS hazard inspections, ensuring issues are resolved and records remain auditable and compliant.

Qualifications

• Requires professional qualification in a property or building-related specialism (HND/HNC or degree)
• Experience of stock condition surveys across tenanted properties
• Experience with HHSRS hazard inspections and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

• Undertake stock condition surveys across a portfolio of around 6,000 homes
• Identify repair and investment needs and assess compliance
• Provide professional advice to support asset investment and improvement programmes
• Keep up to date with building standards, legislation and policy frameworks affecting asset management
