Job summary

Sanctuary is seeking an Asset Surveyor to join our London team, based at Kingsmead Office. The role covers stock condition surveys, disrepair cases, and project management, ensuring H&S compliance and timely delivery with contractors.

You will work on a range of property inspections, prepare reports and support cyclical programmes, liaising with stakeholders to deliver value for residents and the organisation.

You will drive a company vehicle and must hold a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Must have Degree or be working towards Chartered status (AssocRIC/MRICS/CIOB HND or HNC in Surveying).
• Experience in building and surveying environment.
• Ability to interpret computerized data.
• Full UK driving licence required for company vehicle use.

Responsibilities

• Undertake stock condition surveys and property inspections across stock.
• Handle disrepair cases, complaints, and repairs monitoring.
• Produce reports and documentation for work specifications and tenders.
• Support cyclical programme delivery, including surveys, resident consultations and liaising with stakeholders.
• Contribute to special programmes and projects in line with Group values.

London based with a balance of home and office working

£55,613 - £58,540 per year plus Company car or car allowance

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

We are looking for an Asset Surveyor to join our growing team, based in our Kingsmead Office in London. For this role you will be expected to provide support to the business for Asset project management, Disrepairs and other associated works. You would manage your Disrepair caseload effectively and within set timelines, by assessing works required, scoping and working with the contractor to deliver on time, managing EPA notice actions, investigating insurance claims and undertaking stock condition surveys. You would also be required to ensure H&S compliance at all times.

The role of Asset Surveyor will include:

• Undertaking stock condition surveys and other property inspections across a broad range of stock including health and safety assessments
• Involvement in disrepair cases, complaints, permission requests, repairs monitoring and other property related queries
• Producing reports and documentation for work specifications and tenders
• Supporting delivery of the cyclical programme, including surveys, specifications, resident consultations and liaising with other stakeholders.
• Contributing, as appropriate, to special programmes and projects in support of the Group's values and objectives

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to Degree, AssocRIC, MRICS, CIOB HND or HNC in Surveying or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Some experience in a building and surveying environment
• Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
• Working knowledge of legislation and current practices
• Ability to interpret computerized data
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

• Role salary is £41,972 with an additional policy allowance of £13,640 per annum (rising to £44,181 with an additional policy allowance of £14,358 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
