Job summary

Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) Milton Keynes is seeking an undergraduate to join the Risk team as an Asset Risk Forecasting Analyst Undergraduate. You will analyse vehicle market data and RVs to support Residual Value recommendations for VW Group models.

This placement offers hands-on experience in data analysis, stakeholder communication and commercial decision-making in a fast-paced Risk environment, with hybrid in-office work and a June/July start.

Qualifications

  • Currently studying a degree in Mathematics, Business Studies, Economics or a related field.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations based on evidence.
  • Intermediate Excel is desirable, with an interest in developing skills in Tableau and specialist systems such as Autofutura.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise, work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at different levels.
  • A reliable team-player who can support colleagues while also working independently when required.
  • Presentation and influencing skills are desirable, especially when explaining analysis and recommendations clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse industry, market and remarketing data to calculate and review Residual Values (RVs) for Volkswagen Group models.
  • Prepare clear RV proposals with supporting data for review by Asset Risk Management and the Residual Value Setting Forum.
  • Review new model product information and support Volkswagen Group brands with RVs for new model launches.
  • Maintain and update RV and remarketing data in core systems, including Autofutura, Tableau and Excel.
  • Respond to queries from colleagues across VWFS, Volkswagen Group and the dealer network, including bespoke RV requests, fleet tenders, LCV conversions, RV uplifts and RV overrides.
  • Prepare and distribute the monthly RV Setting Forum pack and Asset Risk MI Deck, ensuring the latest data and commentary are captured.

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £23,915.49

Contract: 12-13months FTC Start dates are usually in June/July

Hybrid working: We want you to get the best out of your placement, so we operate a hybrid policy where undergraduates work in the office 3 days per week. There may be times where you will need to be in more frequently depending on the needs of the business.

Are you analytical, curious and confident working with data? We’re looking for an undergraduate to join our Risk team as an Asset Risk Forecasting Analyst Undergraduate. You’ll help analyse vehicle market data and VWFS/VWG remarketing results to support Residual Value recommendations for Volkswagen Group models. What our recruitment process looks like:

  • If you pass this stage, you will be invited to complete an online video interview where you will have the opportunity to tell us more about yourself.
  • If successful, your last step in the journey is to attend an in‑person Assessment Centre at our Milton Keynes office. You’ll also meet some of our managers and our current undergraduates to find out more about a placement year with us.
