Affinity Water is seeking an Asset Planning Engineer (Non-Infrastructure) to identify and develop investment opportunities across non-infrastructure assets, driving value and carbon considerations.

You will analyse asset performance, assess risks, prepare business cases, and collaborate with operations and programme teams to shape long-term asset strategies while ensuring regulatory compliance and high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical).
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
• Knowledge of asset management principles and investment planning.
• Experience managing stakeholders and balancing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritise investment opportunities through data analysis and stakeholder engagement.
• Assess risks and develop cost-effective, sustainable mitigation strategies.
• Prepare business cases, project scopes, cost estimates and carbon assessments.
• Manage projects through the planning and design stages.
• Support the development of long-term asset strategies and investment plans.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering and programme teams to maximise asset value.
• Drive continuous improvement within asset planning methodologies.
• Ensure assets comply with regulatory requirements and deliver customer service.
