Cambridge City Council is seeking a detail-focused professional to support the delivery of planned maintenance programmes in a hybrid role with flexible working options in Cambridge. You will manage the tenant alteration process, coordinate Section 20 consultations, and carry out monthly financial audits to ensure contractors are paid accurately and on time.

We need you to ensure the effective delivery of planned maintenance services.
Working within our Delivery and Assurance Team, you will assist with the development and maintenance of comprehensive contract and asset information to support the effective delivery of planned maintenance services. You will be responsible for managing the tenant alteration process, making decisions relating to applications and coordinating with various sections and departments to ensure the correct outcomes are achieved. In addition, you will coordinate the Section 20 consultation process, ensuring all relevant projects are consulted on and progressed in line with the correct procedures and regulations. A key part of the role will involve carrying out monthly financial audits to ensure contractors are paid accurately and on time. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, reviewing and verifying work programmes, and ensuring our property-based data management systems accurately reflect completed works. Alongside managing enquiries, you will liaise with contractors and key stakeholders while undertaking a range of general business support activities to help ensure the smooth running of the service.
Our ideal candidate will bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, together with an in-depth knowledge of the tenant alteration process and Section 20 regulations. You will have demonstrable experience in data collection, input, analysis, and interpretation, with working knowledge of MRI Asset, IDOX, and Fast Draft systems. With a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, you will possess strong written and numerical skills, alongside a good understanding of the technical terminology used within the building maintenance and construction sectors. Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.

Salary: £33,672 - £37,562 per annum (Band 4) pro rata for part time.
Location: This is flexible – working in Cambridge on site or at one of our offices or working from home. You will be able to balance your work location accordingly.
