This is a UK-based real estate investment and asset management firm specialising in urban logistics, offices, and value-driven strategies. With a proven track record of delivering exceptional returns, they collaborate with institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. Their portfolio exceeds £450m in assets under management, with over £2 billion in transactions completed. Combining expertise across asset classes with entrepreneurial asset management, they focus on identifying opportunities and creating long-term value for their partners.

Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, the Asset Manager will drive value from assets secured and under management. The role requires a strategic and proactive individual with strong financial acumen, stakeholder management skills, and market insight to optimise asset and portfolio performance. Success in this role depends on building strong relationships with market professionals, including letting agents, property managers, and the tenants themselves, whilst coordinating onsite projects and staying ahead of evolving market dynamics impacting investment decisions across the business.

Please note - we are advertising this role at Asset Manager level; however, we would also welcome applications from candidates at Senior Surveyor level looking to make their first move to an Asset Manager or client-side role.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Managing external consultants including property managers, leasing agents, building surveyors, project teams, professional advisors, and solicitors.
  • Liaison with internal fund accounting, analytic & bookkeeping teams to manage the portfolio.
  • Ownership of asset management & property investment reporting (internal and external) to the board, lenders, IC, and shareholders.
  • Cashflow management and investment underwriting (Argus Enterprise, Excel).
  • Support due diligence of acquisitions, sales & pipeline (acquisition) management.

Candidate Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant Bachelor, Masters or equivalent qualification in Real Estate, Economics or related discipline.
  • Ideally MRICS qualified with at least 2 years‘ PQE working in an asset management, management surveyor, property management, or agency environment.
  • We actively encourage Surveyor applicants who have trained through an apprenticeship route.
  • Demonstrable experience managing a multi-site asset/property portfolio, ideally including industrial and office assets.
  • Strong commercial awareness and high level of capability and competence with budget management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in preparing correspondence, submissions, presentations, and reports. Confident in business systems software.
  • Practical understanding of Landlord & Tenants Act, Health & Safety laws, and relevant building management legislation.
  • A team player and consummate professional who takes pride in taking accountability and driving best practice in each aspect of the business.
  • Displays resilience and confidence with a true customer service ethos.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to assess complex matters and provide timely, valuable, and concise advice.
  • Articulate and credible with the ability to communicate operational initiatives and outcomes.
  • Enthusiastic, driven, and hard-working with a desire to achieve outstanding results in a team environment and inspire the highest standards in colleagues.
  • Moves quickly to identify barriers or problems and takes ownership to collaborate with stakeholders for creative and innovative solutions.
  • Acts with integrity and honesty at all times.
