Asset Manager, Glasgow

A fantastic opportunity to join an established and well-respected property business located in Glasgow.

We are keen to engage with local Asset Managers in the area who are considering a move and are looking for a role that offers job security, a defined career path, and a great property portfolio to oversee.

You will be responsible for overseeing lease management, marketing, refurbishment, dilapidations, inspections, and financial management, as well as managing agents and ensuring compliance with lease obligations.

Your daily responsibilities may include undertaking rent reviews, lease renewals, break options, and lease re-gears. You will coordinate with third-party agents when necessary, agree on fees, ensure documentation is recorded by legal teams, and update internal systems.

You will also be responsible for appointing and managing letting and sale agents for vacant properties or identified disposals, including developing marketing plans and managing budgets. Overseeing letting and sales processes will also be part of your role.

Prepare recommendations and cost reports for asset refurbishment, and implement refurbishment schemes by appointing and overseeing design teams. Review and manage the formal appointment of contractors and consultants, ensure timely instructions for dilapidations according to lease terms, and manage ongoing processes to maximize asset value.

Who we are looking to attract:

Candidates with relevant property or asset management experience, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and some exposure to property management and financial systems.

Knowledge of lease terms, property laws, and regulations is essential.

Some project management experience for overseeing refurbishment projects.

Ability to analyze financial data and prepare cost reports.
