Job summary

National Grid is recruiting an Asset Group Strategy Manager to lead a newly formed function within Asset Management. You will own the long-term asset investment strategies that underpin our network investment plans and work across Asset Management, Engineering and Operations to ensure decisions are evidence-based and value-driven.

This is a high-profile leadership role. The role requires extensive asset management experience, a track record of developing business cases and regulatory

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in asset management or investment planning in asset-intensive sectors.
• Proven ability to develop business cases and regulatory submissions.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to balance performance, risk and cost.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-term asset group strategies to drive investment decisions across the portfolio.
• Build and lead a multidisciplinary team of asset managers and analysts.
• Develop risk and value-based investment portfolios balancing performance and customer value.
• Use data and analytics to prioritise investments across asset groups.
• Prepare investment cases and regulatory submissions with clear value for money.
