Transport for Wales is seeking an Asset Engineer on a 12‑month fixed-term contract to govern buildings and structures across the asset portfolio in Wales. You will work with the Senior Asset Engineer and data managers to integrate policies into the asset management framework, prioritise renewals, and identify enhancement opportunities within budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Masters or postgraduate qualification and working towards Chartership in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrable experience and knowledge of the transport industry.
• Ability to review design works information and temporary works submissions.
• Experience with inspection and remote condition monitoring systems.
• Knowledge and experience of highway and/or railway standards.

Responsabilités

• Carry out Governance Management for Buildings and Structures across the TfW Asset Portfolio.
• Integrate policies into an Asset Management Framework with the Senior Asset Engineer and data managers.
• Review renewal and enhancement deliverables within budgetary constraints.
• Identify renewal opportunities and challenges and deliver value for money.
