Transport for Wales is seeking an Asset Engineer on a 12-month fixed-term contract to manage Governance for Buildings and Structures across the asset portfolio. The role involves aligning policies with the Asset Management framework and supporting renewal strategies.

The candidate should have a Masters or be pursuing Chartership in Civil/Structural Engineering, with transport sector experience and the ability to review design submissions and monitor risk and safety.

Qualifications

• Masters or Postgraduate qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable transport industry knowledge.
• Ability to review design works information and temporary works submissions.

Responsabilités

• Take delegated responsibility for Buildings & Civils Asset Policies and Strategic Objectives with the Senior Asset Engineer.
• Review renewal and enhancement deliverables and prioritise within budget; identify renewal opportunities and challenges.
• Ensure infrastructure renewals and maintenance plans meet Asset Policy while delivering value for money.
• Contribute to risk mitigation, engineering compliance and health & safety considerations with the aim of safeguarding investment.
