Job summary

Network Rail is seeking an Asset Engineer Drainage & Off Track to manage examination, assessment and monitoring of assets, ensuring compliance with standards and supporting route asset management and investment plans. You will collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver a safe, reliable and sustainable railway.

Qualifications

• Incorporated Engineer status or active membership pursuit.
• HND or equivalent qualification in relevant subject.
• Experience of Drainage & Off Track asset management activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering input to the specification and management of Drainage & Off Track inspection and maintenance contracts.
• Support the development and implementation of asset management policies, standards and specifications.
• Assess asset condition and monitor compliance with company standards.
• Develop technical specifications for maintenance activities and support maintenance delivery.
• Monitor asset performance trends and contribute to investigations and preventative actions.
• Undertake assurance activities and asset verification.
• Support the development of maintenance, renewal and enhancement plans.
• Contribute to route business planning and investment decisions.
• Maintain asset information and records within company systems.

Education

Incorporated Engineer or working towards membership
