Job summary

Anglian Water Group Ltd. in Peterborough is seeking a Master Data Specialist to ensure high-quality asset data across capital projects and to support the asset register. You will work with engineers, project teams, suppliers and stakeholders to maintain accurate data and meet project milestones.

The role focuses on data governance, reporting, and opportunities to automate workflows using ETL tools, BIM and BI reporting. A proactive approach and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineering or asset data within a utilities, infrastructure or capital delivery environment.
• Experience with SAP PM, asset management systems or enterprise asset registers.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation including drawings, schedules, P&IDs and asset hierarchies.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience producing reports, analysing data and identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
• Experience automating processes using ETL tools to streamline workflows.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and cross-team collaboration.
• Experience with digital engineering, BIM, asset information management or BI reporting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead asset data management across projects and ensure asset data quality in the asset register.
• Review engineering information from sources (3D models, P&IDs, drawings) to ensure data quality.
• Coordinate asset data uploads into SAP PM and align with project milestones.
• Provide insights and reporting on asset data performance, risks and opportunities.
• Champion data quality, governance and process improvements across teams and suppliers.
• Support innovation to automate workflows and enhance reporting capabilities.
