Job summary

Thames Water is recruiting a Maintenance & Asset Data Lead in Reading. The role focuses on governing asset and work master data across SAP and GIS, ensuring accuracy, consistency and value of maintenance information to support safe, reliable service delivery.

You will lead master data management activities, shape MDM strategies, and drive continuous improvements while engaging senior stakeholders and exploring automation opportunities. Hybrid working 2 days per week with some travel.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of asset management data standards and governance.
• Ability to set up data design standards and quality assurance processes.
• Experience in leading data governance and continuous improvement programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver master data management activities across asset and work data.
• Own and maintain the asset and work data model in SAP and GIS; manage configurations and approvals.
• Shape and implement MDM strategies aligned with operational needs.
• Provide expert advice on data governance, standards and planning; influence senior stakeholders.
• Manage workloads and mentor analysts; oversee data quality analysis and issue resolution.
