East of England / Temporary / £15,950 - £20,572 per year

TeacherActive is working with a reputable college in Cambridge, recently rated ‘GOOD’ by OFSTED. The college offers excellent media and construction facilities and has a strong track record of students progressing to further education or employment.

We are seeking a dedicated Trainer/Assessor to work part-time (3 days, 22.5 hours per week). The successful candidate will support apprentices in carpentry and property maintenance, ensuring their achievement and success. Experience in apprenticeship delivery is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided for high industry-skilled candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality support to ensure apprentices achieve their goals on time.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with employers to facilitate effective training and assessment, promoting repeat business.
• Conduct regular reviews with apprentices and employers, setting and tracking progress targets.
• Assist with onboarding, including interviews and induction sessions for new students.
• Deliver engaging training sessions to support apprentices’ learning and development.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in apprenticeship delivery is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
• DBS check (or be on the update service).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build professional relationships with employers and apprentices.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality training and support.
