Salary: Up to £13,359.70 per annum (£31,881.69 full time equivalent), depending on experience

Hours: 18.5 per week

Weeks per year: 38 per year

Contract type: Permanent

The Exciting Role

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assessor in Early Years, Education and Childcare to join our dedicated and high‑performing team. The role involves supporting adult learners on Level 2 and Level 3 programmes, alongside workplace learning routes. Responsibilities include conducting workplace assessment visits, providing coaching and mentoring, and actively supporting learners to achieve their full potential. The curriculum area continues to grow year‑on‑year, with increasing learner numbers across adult and professional pathways.

The postholder will be primarily based at the Lancashire Adult Learning (Northlight) campus but is required to travel across Lancashire. This role is ideal for an experienced practitioner seeking a new challenge or a qualified Assessor looking to develop within an outstanding organisation.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Assessing learners on Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years, Education and Childcare programmes
  • Completing compliant observation documentation
  • Providing constructive and timely feedback and setting meaningful targets
  • Participating in CPD, training and staff meetings
What We Are Looking For
  • Minimum of 4 GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) including grade C/4 in Maths and English and a basic food hygiene certificate
  • A qualified Assessor (A1, CAVA, or equivalent)
  • A Level 3 qualification (or above) in a relevant subject
  • Relevant industry experience with Early Years and School sectors
  • Access to own vehicle and willingness to travel
