Not disclosed in the advert. Two Assembly Technicians are sought for a precision engineering assembly department in Lancing. The role involves assembling pumps and pump packages from drawings, using cranes and alignment equipment, and testing systems to meet defined specs.

Candidates will work with the engineering team to troubleshoot issues and support QA, maintenance and continuous improvement under the company’s QMS framework.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble bare shaft pumps and pump packages from engineering drawings
• Operate and inspect using jib & monorail cranes, laser alignment equipment and torque tools
• Test pumps and systems in the product test rig to meet defined requirements
• Assist coordination of assembly and test activities and maintain QA records
• Troubleshoot product issues with the engineering team and help implement corrective actions
• Operate, maintain and repair facilities and equipment as required
• Contribute to process improvements via the QMS engineering change process

Our engineering client is looking for two Assembly Technicians to work in their precision engineering assembly department in Lancing.

Assembly and/or Testing within a precision engineering environment

Description of Role

• Assembly of bare shaft pumps and pump packages.
• Working from Engineering Drawings
• Jib & Monorail Cranes
• Laser Alignment Equipment
• Fork Lift (bonus but not necessary)
• Hydraulic Press
• Torque Tools
• Test pumps and systems in the product test rig Plan to meet defined requirements.
• Assist in the coordination of assembly and test activities.
• Troubleshooting product issues with the engineering team, working with them where necessary to resolve & rectify such problems.
• Carry out testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
• Work within the company Quality Management System & assist with corrective actions and process improvements where applicable.
• Instigate product design & process improvements via the QMS engineering change process.

Working Times

Candidates are required to work 5 days per week, with an expected working day of 8.5 hours, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. They will therefore be paid for 8 hours per day
