Job summary

EVera Recruitment Ltd places you with an electric vehicle manufacturer seeking a Module Build Technician to assemble battery modules from cells to tested assemblies, following engineering drawings and work instructions.

You will perform in-process checks, record results, report defects, maintain traceability, and follow safety and ESD procedures while supporting improvements with engineering and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in precision assembly, manufacturing or production.
• Ability to follow engineering drawings, technical instructions and assembly procedures.
• Confidence using hand tools, torque-controlled tools and assembly equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
• Good practical problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach.
• Awareness of battery and electrical safety; HV training or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble battery cells and mechanical/electrical components into modules from drawings and work instructions.
• Use tools, fixtures and equipment to build precise, consistent modules.
• Carry out in-process checks and module tests; record results accurately.
• Identify and report defects or non-conformities; support investigations with engineering and quality teams.
• Maintain component traceability and accurate build records using CAD viewers and PLM systems.
• Follow safe handling procedures and observe electrical safety and ESD precautions.
• Suggest improvements to assembly methods, tooling and work instructions.

Job description

Our client, an electric vehicle manufacturer known for pushing the limits of performance engineering, is seeking a Module Build Technician to join its production team. In this hands-on role, you will take battery modules from individual cells to finished, tested assemblies, working alongside engineering and quality colleagues to make sure every build is safe, precise and right first time.

The Module Build Technician will be responsible for:

• Assembling battery cells and associated mechanical and electrical components into modules, working from engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Using tools, fixtures and equipment to complete precise, consistent builds, handling cells and delicate components with care.
• Carrying out in-process checks and module tests, recording results accurately and escalating any failures.
• Identifying and reporting defects or non-conformities and supporting investigations and corrective actions with engineering and quality teams.
• Maintaining component traceability and accurate build records using CAD viewers and PLM systems.
• Following safe handling procedures, using the required PPE and observing electrical safety and ESD precautions.
• Suggesting improvements to assembly methods, tooling and work instructions.

The Module Build Technician will have:

• Experience in precision assembly, manufacturing or production, ideally within battery, automotive, electrical or electronics environments.
• The ability to follow engineering drawings, technical instructions and assembly procedures.
• Confidence using hand tools, torque-controlled tools and assembly equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to consistent, high-quality work.
• Good practical problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach.
• Awareness of battery and electrical safety, with HV training or experience being an advantage.
• Experience assembling battery cells or modules, using CAD/PLM systems, or a technical qualification in an engineering discipline would be desirable.
