Job description

Battery HV Build Technician
Banbury | Manufacturing Department

Are you an experienced manufacturing technician with a background in high-voltage systems and battery assembly? We are seeking a Battery HV Build Technician to join our manufacturing team in Banbury, supporting the production of advanced high-voltage battery systems for industrial applications.

Reporting to the Lead Technician, you will play a vital role on the battery assembly line, following detailed production processes and work instructions to build high-quality battery systems to exacting standards. This is a hands‑on position requiring a strong focus on quality, safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will work closely with the Lead Technician to ensure products are delivered to agreed schedules while supporting the day‑to‑day activities of the department. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate build documentation, adhering to strict quality standards, promoting health, safety and environmental best practices, and identifying opportunities to improve build, test and assembly processes. You will also investigate and report faults identified during production, maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the work area, and provide support across other programmes and projects as required by the business.

To be successful, you will have experience working within a high‑voltage manufacturing environment and possess a good understanding of lithium‑ion battery technologies and manufacturing techniques. You will be proactive in your approach, able to respond quickly to challenges, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and a flexible, adaptable attitude are essential.

Applicants should have significant mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing experience, together with experience using electrical test equipment and testing high‑voltage battery systems in accordance with work instructions. Previous experience within a battery manufacturing environment, particularly working with high‑voltage modules, would be advantageous but is not essential. Basic PC skills are also desirable.

This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge battery technology within a collaborative and innovative environment. The successful candidate may be required to travel worldwide to support programmes when required by the business.

We are looking for a true team player who is open, transparent and willing to support colleagues across the business. The ideal candidate will thrive within a small team environment, embrace new ideas and ways of working, and demonstrate professionalism, humility and a commitment to maintaining a positive and collaborative team culture.

If you are passionate about advanced technology, high‑quality manufacturing and working as part of a high-performing team, we would love to hear from you.
