InstaStaff in Nechells, Birmingham is recruiting an Assembly Technician to join a manufacturing company. The role involves building complex components from drawings using hand and power tools, reading technical drawings, and contributing to a strong mechanical engineering culture.

You will work to tight deadlines with a focus on quality, safety, and team collaboration. The salary is circa £27,000 depending on experience, with a 12‑week temp to perm basis and Monday–Friday 7:30am–4pm hours.

InstaStaff are currently recruiting for an Assembly Technician to join a manufacturing company based in Nechells, Birmingham

As a leader in its field and, following strong growth, the company is looking to bolster its production capacity with an experienced Assembly Technician, this is a great time to join the company.

The role involves building complex components from drawings, using hand and power tools. You must be able to read and understand technical drawings and have a good understanding of the principles of mechanical engineering. You must also have excellent hand-eye coordination, a keen eye for detail, good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team, often working to tight deadlines.

The duties of the Assembly Technician include:

• Assemble components in accordance with technical drawings
• Test completed assemblies for correct operation
• Perform basic maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Identify and replace defective components
• Investigate and diagnose faults
• Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to
• Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and responsible for ensuring all quality and environmental standards are met and that all appropriate departments are informed of non-conformities.

The salary for the Assembly Technician will be circa £27,000 depending on experience. The role will be on a 12-week temp to perm basis.

The hours for the Assembly technician will be Monday - Friday 7.30am - 4pm
