Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Composite Assembly Technician to join an advanced manufacturing business in the UK. You will manufacture and assemble composite components using specialist materials, adhesives, hand tools and fastening techniques, working within a regulated engineering environment.

You will be part of an established production team, preparing mould tools, laying up materials, loading curing equipment and completing finishing and quality checks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Competent using hand tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mould tools and equipment prior to manufacture.
• Cut, lay up and process specialist composite materials.
• Load and operate curing equipment, presses and associated machinery.
• Perform component assembly using adhesives and mechanical fasteners.
• Carry out finishing operations including linishing, countersinking and hand-tool work.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards.
• Support colleagues across production activities as required.
• Work to quality standards and production schedules.

We are recruiting for a Composite Assembly Technician to join a leading advanced manufacturing business operating within a highly regulated engineering sector. This role is ideal for candidates with manufacturing, assembly, composites, aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering experience who enjoy hands-on work and producing high-quality components.

Working as part of an established production team, you will be responsible for the manufacture and assembly of composite components using specialist materials, adhesives, hand tools, and mechanical fastening techniques.
