Job summary

KH Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Assembly Team Supervisor for a growing manufacturing business in Edenbridge. This hands-on role leads a small team focused on electronic/electrical assembly and quality.

Initially you will work alongside the team to learn products and processes, then coordinate workload, supervise the team, and ensure on-time delivery. Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm.

Role: Assembly Team Supervisor
Location: Edenbridge, Kent
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-Term Temping (no end date)
Hourly Rate: £Neg
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8am-5pm

Our client is looking for an experienced Assembly Team Supervisor to join a growing manufacturing business in Edenbridge.

This is a hands-on role within a small assembly team, ideal for someone with a strong background in electronic/electrical assembly who is looking for a supervisory position.

Initially, you will be working alongside the team and getting to know the company’s products and processes.

Once fully trained, you will take responsibility for coordinating the small assembly team and making sure the day-to-day operation runs smoothly.

The role will initially be very hands-on, including:

• Electronic assembly
• Component assembly and production
• Soldering and working with electronic components
• Quality testing and inspection
• Following assembly instructions, specifications and technical information
• Identifying and resolving assembly or quality issues

As you become established in the role, you will also take responsibility for:

• Supervising and supporting a small team
• Organising the team’s day-to-day workload
• Making sure work is completed accurately and on time
• Supporting team members with assembly queries and technical issues
• Checking quality and ensuring processes are followed
• Helping to train and develop team members
• Managing materials and ensuring the team has what it needs to complete the work
• Identifying and helping to resolve any production or quality issues
• Acting as the main point of contact for the assembly team
• Working closely with the wider business to keep the assembly operation running smoothly

About You

You will ideally have:

• Good experience in electronic, electrical or similar assembly
• Previous experience of supervising, mentoring or leading a small team
• People management skills
• Strong practical and technical assembly skills
• Experience with soldering and electronic components
• A practical, hands-on approach
• The confidence to take responsibility and make decisions when required
• The ability to work independently while supporting and working closely with a small team
