Laser Expertise in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Assembly Team Leader to guide a busy assembly department in a hands-on role. You will work alongside the team, ensuring tasks are completed safely, accurately and on time, while maintaining quality standards.

The ideal candidate has assembly/manufacturing experience, leadership skills, and the ability to read engineering drawings. The role offers rotating days/shifts and a competitive pay rate, with on-site parking and a company pension.

Formación

• Experience leading a small manufacturing/engineering team.

This is a hands-on position, so you will work alongside the team while ensuring jobs are completed safely, correctly and on time.

• Assemble fabricated metal components using hand and power tools.

• Check completed work meets the required quality standards.
• Help train and support new and existing team members.
• Identify and report any production or quality issues.
• Ensure the department remains clean, organised and safe.
• Work with other departments to meet production deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous assembly experience within manufacturing or engineering.
• Experience leading or supervising a small team.
• The ability to read basic engineering drawings.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A practical, hands-on approach.
• A positive and reliable attitude.

Previous experience assembling sheet metal or fabricated products would be an advantage.
