Job summary

QS Recruitment is seeking a General Assembly Team Leader in Leicester for a temp-to-perm role. The job involves supervising the General Assembly team, coordinating with warehouse and other departments, and ensuring safe, efficient production.

You will work on a 4 on/4 off rotation from 06:00 to 18:00, earn £14.05 per hour, and accrual of holiday up to 28 days pro rata. The position is open to UK applicants only; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production environments with supervisory duties.
• Good communication, basic IT skills, and comfort using scanners.
• Organised, detail oriented, able to work independently or in a team.

Job Description

TEMP TO PERM, 4 ON/4 OFF ROTATION, IMMEDIATE START.

We have a General Assembly Team Leader role available in Leicester.

Your main duties will include:

• Assemble pumps and support production across different areas when required.
• Operate and carry out basic set-up of machinery.
• Coordinate with warehouse, office and other internal departments.
• Assist with picking, labelling, pallet preparation and returning materials.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow company procedures, SOPs and health & safety requirements.

Duration: Ongoing role with the opportunity to be taken on permanent.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: You will be paid £14.05 an hour for this role.Holiday will be accrued up to 28 days per year (pro rata).We do not accept visa sponsorships.

Working Hours: In this role you will be on a 4 on/ 4 off shift rotation, working from 06:00 in the morning to 18:00 in the evening.

Experience & Qualifications

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated person with experience in manufacturing, production or a similar environment. You should have good communication skills, basic IT knowledge and be comfortable using scanners or scan guns.

Experience of supervising or supporting a team would be useful, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key. You should have organised, able to manage different tasks, pay close attention to detail and work well both independently and as part of a team. You’ll need to be confident following procedures, working safely and supporting others to achieve high standards.
