Job summary

IRS Group are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Nuneaton for an experienced Assembly Supervisor to join their PM shift. This role requires supervising the assembly department, leading a team and ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.

The position offers an immediate start with a Monday-Thursday 15:00–01:30 schedule and a pay rate of £17.00 per hour, plus potential for contract extension and progression within a growing operation.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team in manufacturing/assembly.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Able to organise workloads to meet deadlines.
• Good IT skills.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge advantageous.
• FLT licence preferred; training can be provided for supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the day-to-day running of the assembly department.
• Leading, motivating and supporting the assembly team.
• Planning workloads to meet production schedules.
• Ensuring products meet quality standards before dispatch.
• Managing attendance, return-to-work interviews and team performance.
• Organising overtime where required.
• Maintaining housekeeping and health & safety standards.
• Supporting training and development of team members.
• Acting as key holder and securing the site at the end of shift.

Assembly Supervisor - Immediate Start

Monday to Thursday, 15:00 - 01:30

Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour

IRS Group are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Nuneaton for an experienced Assembly Supervisor to join their growing PM shift.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor looking to join a busy manufacturing environment, leading a team and ensuring production targets, quality standards and customer requirements are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising the day-to-day running of the assembly department
• Leading, motivating and supporting the assembly team
• Planning workloads to meet production schedules
• Ensuring products meet quality standards before dispatch
• Managing attendance, return-to-work interviews and team performance
• Organising overtime where required
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards
• Supporting training and development of team members
• Acting as key holder and securing the site at the end of shift

Requirements

• Previous experience supervising a team within a manufacturing, assembly or production environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to organise workloads and meet production deadlines
• Good IT skills
• Health & Safety conscious with a proactive approach
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is advantageous
• FLT Licence preferred; however, training can be provided for the right candidate with suitable supervisory experience.
