Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants is helping a specialist electronics manufacturer recruit an Assembly Operator to join its production team in Rochester, Kent. This hands-on role focuses on assembling electronic display products and sub-assemblies, following work instructions and diagrams.

The ideal candidate has prior mechanical assembly experience, a keen eye for quality, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical assembly experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience assembling electronic components and products.
• Ability to interpret assembly instructions and technical diagrams.
• Good attention to detail and quality-focused approach.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic display products and sub-assemblies.
• Build electronic assemblies into mechanical housings and enclosures.
• Follow work instructions, assembly drawings, photographs and diagrams accurately.
• Carry out assembly tasks to required quality standards.
• Support production activities to meet customer deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Work independently and as part of a wider production team.
• Ensure all products are completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble a range of electronic display products and sub-assemblies
• Build electronic assemblies into mechanical housings and enclosures
