Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants is recruiting on behalf of a specialist electronics manufacturer in Rochester, Kent, for a Mechanical Assembly Operator. The role involves assembling electronic displays and sub-assemblies, fitting them into housings, and following precise work instructions to achieve high quality.

You will join a supportive production team, receive training, and have opportunities to develop technical manufacturing skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble a range of electronic display products and sub-assemblies
• Build electronic assemblies into mechanical housings and enclosures
• Follow work instructions, assembly drawings, photographs and diagrams accurately
• Carry out assembly tasks to required quality standards
• Support production activities to meet customer deadlines
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
• Work independently and as part of a wider production team
• Ensure all products are completed to a high standard

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous mechanical assembly experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience assembling electronic components and products
• Ability to interpret assembly instructions and technical diagrams
• Good attention to detail and quality-focused approach
• Soldering and wire looming experience would be advantageous
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a team
