Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment is seeking a PCB/Cable Assembly Operator for a growing electronics manufacturer in Rochester, Kent. This hands-on role involves assembling PCB and cable assemblies, soldering, and using SMT pick-and-place equipment to build reliable products for global markets.

The ideal candidate has PCB or cable assembly experience, soldering and crimping skills, and familiarity with reading diagrams. Basic IT skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in PCB or cable assembly.
• Soldering and crimping experience.
• Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to read and follow assembly instructions and diagrams.
• Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• IPC-A-610 and/or IPC-A-620 certification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assemble PCB and cable assemblies to required standards.
• Solder surface mount and through-hole components onto PCBs.
• Operate SMT pick-and-place equipment to populate circuit boards.
• Build cable assemblies using soldering and crimping techniques.
• Follow work instructions, diagrams and assembly drawings accurately.
• Maintain high levels of quality and attention to detail.
• Apply approved soldering processes and assembly techniques.
• Work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved.
