Job summary

SER Limited is seeking an Assembly Operator to join the busy manufacturing team assembling cooling equipment and HVAC components in Andover. You will braze, tube, mechanically assemble, and fit parts, performing leak and pressure tests while following engineering drawings and safety procedures.

Ideal candidates have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and experience with HVAC or refrigeration equipment, with preference for brazing experience. Training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent (minimum).
• Experience assembling cooling, refrigeration, or HVAC equipment.
• Experience with brazing and mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of manufacturing safety procedures.
• F-Gas certification would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cooling equipment and components to drawings and specifications.
• Carry out brazing, tubing, mechanical assembly, and fitting work.
• Perform leak testing, pressure testing, and quality inspections.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Location: Andover

Salary/Package: £26,436 - £35,000, (Dependant on Quals & Experience) with 10% bonus, 23 days + Banks, Pension

Purpose of the role

We're looking for an experienced Assembly Operator to join a busy manufacturing team assembling high-quality cooling and HVAC equipment.

Are you a Qualified Plumber or HVAC Improver?

If you can Braze, we can teach the gas filling. We can look at newly qualified engineers that have dealt with brazing during their training

The Role

• Assemble cooling equipment and associated components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Carry out brazing, tubing, mechanical assembly, and fitting work.
• Perform leak testing, pressure testing, and quality inspections.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and health & safety.
• Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams.

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent (minimum).
• Previous experience assembling cooling, refrigeration, or HVAC equipment.
• Experience with brazing and mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of manufacturing safety procedures.
• F-Gas certification would be advantageous but is not essential.
