Job summary

Eaton Group in Worksop is seeking a hands-on assembler to build, inspect, test and audit electrical switch gear to exact manufacturing standards. You will focus on quality and productivity targets, adhere to health and safety rules including HASAWA 1974, and contribute to smooth, 5S+ housekeeping in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Assemble, inspect, pack, test and audit electrical switch gear to manufacturing requirements.
• Adhere to quality and productivity targets and company procedures.
• Undertake product auditing throughout general assembly.
• Meet delivery dates and customer requirements.
• Maintain 5S+ cleanliness and organisation in the work area.
• Follow health and safety policy, HASAWA 1974, and related legislation.
• Aim to achieve MTM & SPC targets where applicable.
• Participate in required training for development as agreed with Supervisors/Team Leader.
• Escalate problems to Supervisors/Team Leader.
• Keep work area clean and tidy at all times.

Job description

What you’ll do:

• Assemble, Inspect, Pack, Test and Audit electrical switch gear to manufacturing requirements whilst achieving Quality and Productivity targets. Align to the specific Skill Band criteria for role.
• Ensure tasks and output are to acceptable standards in accordance with the company policy and procedures.
• Undertake product auditing throughout general assembly. (Skill Band 2>)
• Demonstrate an awareness of orders and dates to meet delivery times and customer requirements
• Demonstrate initiative and flexibility to ensure smooth and efficient running of department.
• Observe and adopt safe working practices in accordance with Company health and safety policy and all relevant health and safety legislation; i.e. HASAWA 1974 etc
• Achieve MTM & SPC targets where appliciable
• Undertake training necessary for development as agreed with Supervisors/Team Leader
• Communicate problems affecting role or responsibilities to Supervisors/Team Leader.
• Ensure workarea is to clean & tidy at all times adhere to 5s+ standards
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed.
