Job summary

Eaton in Worksop is seeking an Assembly Operative (Days) to assemble, inspect, pack, test and audit electrical switch gear to manufacturing requirements.

You will align to the Skill Band criteria and work safely, meeting delivery times while supporting continuous improvement and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow manufacturing instructions and consolidate quality checks.
• Awareness of MTM and SPC targets where applicable.
• Willingness to undertake on-the-job training and development.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and sub-assemblies as per build instructions.
• Inspect products for quality, document findings and report defects.
• Pack and label outputs ensuring accuracy and traceability.
• Audit tasks during assembly and maintain clean, organized work area.
• Contribute to meeting delivery schedules and production targets.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and 5S+ standards.

Assemble, Inspect, Pack, Test and Audit electrical switch gear to manufacturing requirements whilst achieving Quality and Productivity targets. Align to the specific Skill Band criteria for role.

• Ensure tasks and output are to acceptable standards in accordance with the company policy and procedures.
• Undertake product auditing throughout general assembly. (Skill Band 2>)
• Demonstrate an awareness of orders and dates to meet delivery times and customer requirements
• Demonstrate initiative and flexibility to ensure smooth and efficient running of department.
• Observe and adopt safe working practices in accordance with Company health and safety policy and all relevant health and safety legislation; i.e. HASAWA 1974 etc
• Achieve MTM & SPC targets where appliciable
• Undertake training necessary for development as agreed with Supervisors/Team Leader
• Communicate problems affecting role or responsibilities to Supervisors/Team Leader.
• Ensure workarea is to clean & tidy at all times adhere to 5s+ standards
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed.
