Job summary

Ideal candidates have experience in manufacturing or assembly, with an electrical or electronics background preferred. The role offers a 4-day working week, with hours 6:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday.

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Hixon.

This is a hands-on role where you will be involved in the assembly of components and sub-assemblies, working from technical drawings and ensuring all work is completed accurately and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities for an Assembly Operative
  • Carry out assembly and sub-assembly work
  • Read and work from technical drawings
  • Use hand tools and equipment safely
  • Identify and report any faults or quality issues
  • Ensure work is completed to required standards
Requirements for an Assembly Operative
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly or testing experience would be advantageous
  • An electrical or electronics background would be preferred
  • Good attention to detail
  • Practical and hands-on approach to work
Pay & Working Hours for an Assembly Operative
  • £12.71 per hour
  • Monday to Thursday
  • 38 hours per week
  • 6:30am - 4:30pm (Flexible)
  • Some flexibility with working hours
