Job summary

Moog in Tewkesbury is seeking a motivated Aerospace Assembler & Tester to join our Manufacturing Operations team. You will assemble, disassemble, test, and support the manufacture of valves, manifolds, and actuators in a high-precision aerospace environment.

The role requires attention to detail, a proactive approach to Lean Manufacturing, and the ability to work across Assembly & Test areas. Onsite work with potential overtime supports career growth within Moog's 75-year legacy.

Qualifications

  • Secondary education required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble aerospace components and assemblies.
  • Clean parts and products in preparation for assembly.
  • Perform flow-matching operations using AMP stands as required.
  • Carry out wire-locking, labelling, and finishing activities.
  • Follow approved engineering documentation and procedures.
  • Complete production records and travellers accurately.
  • Inspect own work against quality standards and audit requirements.
  • Use hand tools, gauges, and measuring equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
  • Support engineering teams, colleagues and customers when needed.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing activities (5S, Kaizen).

Job Title : Assembler Tester - AM
Reporting To: Portfolio Manager
Work Schedule: Onsite - Tewkesbury, GBR

We are looking for a motivated Aerospace Assembler & Tester to join our Manufacturing Operations team in Tewkesbury. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-precision aerospace environment, assembling, disassembling, testing, and supporting the manufacture of critical aerospace components including valves, manifolds, and actuators.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of assembly and testing activities while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and disassemble aerospace components and assemblies.
  • Clean new and aftermarket parts and products in preparation for assembly.
  • Perform flow-matching operations using AMP stands as required.
  • Carry out wire-locking, labelling, and finishing activities.
  • Follow approved engineering documentation, drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Accurately complete production records, operation sheets, and travellers.
  • Inspect your own work in accordance with quality standards and audit requirements.
  • Use a variety of hand tools, gauges, and measuring equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Support engineering teams, colleagues, and customers where appropriate.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing activities, including 5S and Kaizen initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Good standard of secondary education.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Positive attitude towards continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Reliable attendance and excellent timekeeping.
  • Flexible approach to work and shift patterns.
Desirable
  • Previous assembly, manufacturing, aerospace, engineering, or production experience.
  • Experience using hand tools, measuring equipment, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S.
  • Experience working within a regulated or quality-controlled environment.

  • Maintain compliance with all quality standards and procedures.
  • Adhere to health and safety requirements at all times.
  • Complete required training and quality audits.
  • Demonstrate flexibility across Assembly & Test areas in line with business needs.

  • Willing to support overtime requirements when business needs demand.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive batch work when required.
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
  • Committed to supporting the development of new team members.
