Job summary

Moog Aircraft Group in Wolverhampton is seeking an Assembly & Test Technician to join our team. The role focuses on assembly and test of flight-critical actuators and subcomponents to tight tolerances, using precision measuring tools and following engineering drawings.

Working 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday mornings and a Friday short shift. Security clearance BPSS is required and must be maintained.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained (or equivalent) within Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in an engineering/manufacturing role, ideally aerospace.
• Able to read engineering drawings and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test flight-critical actuators and subcomponents with high precision.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, verniers, and height gauges.
• Work from engineering drawings and maintenance manuals.
• Complete quality audits and manage release to service of repaired actuators.

Moog Aircraft Group is seeking experienced Assembly & Test Technicians to join our team at our Wolverhampton facility. Working 37 hours per week; Monday to Thursday 7.30 am 4.15 pm and Friday 7.30 am 11.30 am.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembly and test of flight-critical actuators and subcomponents with high precision and accuracy.


• Using measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and height gauges to inspect component parts.


• Working from engineering drawings and component maintenance manuals.


• Completing quality audits and taking responsibility for various aspects of the A&T process, including the release to service of repaired actuators.

Key Skills

• Apprentice trained (or equivalent level of qualification) ideally within Mechanical Engineering.


• Proven experience within an engineering/manufacturing role is essential, ideally within aerospace or related industries.


• Good knowledge of assembly and test manufacturing.


• Competent in reading and following different set procedures.


• Experience working within an aerospace quality system is desirable.


• Dynamic and proactive attitude.

Security Clearance Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
