Job summary

Hughes Safety Showers in Stockport is seeking an assembly operative to build components to exact specifications and to ensure product quality through testing and checks.

You will monitor output, address issues with the line manager, keep a tidy workspace, and follow the Works Order Process to manufacture reliable products for daily production.

Qualifications

• Prepared to undergo training, as necessary.
• Electrical or mechanical qualification is an advantage.
• Understanding of WOP (training will be available).
• Honest, humble and hungry, with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and products to detailed specifications.
• Monitor output to ensure that it meets the required standard and reject non-conforming work.
• Test components and products to ensure that they meet all requirements and resolve issues with the line manager.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised workspace and prepare production areas for the next day.
• Follow the Works Order Process for the manufacture of goods.

Key Responsibilites

• Assemble components and products to detailed specifications.
• Constantly monitor output to ensure that it is of the standard required, rejecting any that does not meet the standard.
• Test components and products to ensure that they meet all requirements.
  Identify and resolve any technical problems arising in the assembly of components and products working with your line manager.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised workspace and to ensure a clean readily workable area ready for production the following day.
• Follow the Works Order Process for the manufacture of goods.

Technical Skills

• Prepared to undergo training, as necessary.
• Electrical or mechanical qualification is an advantage.
• Understanding of WOP (training will be available).

Compensation

This position offers a pay rate of £12.97 per hour.
