Job summary

HAD-FAB LTD in Tranent is seeking a Structural Detailing Trainee to join the engineering team and learn under experienced detailers while supporting the detailing function. The role focuses on basic and administrative detailing tasks to build understanding, accuracy and confidence in steel detailing.

The apprentice pathway is available for those who wish to pursue formal qualifications in the future; participation is optional and not a requirement for appointment to this role.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good computer literacy and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Utilise draughting software to create 3D models of structural assemblies.
• Create drawings for manufacture and fabrication.
• Prepare erection drawings to direct construction of steelwork.
• Conduct site visits/surveys when required.
• Interpret client engineering and architectural drawings and specifications.
• Prepare delivery loading models to assist the yard with transportation logistics.
