Job summary

KR Group is growing its design team and seeks a Junior/Trainee CAD Detailer to join our Aberdeenshire operations just outside Ellon. You will support the design team by producing steel and TEKLA drawings, alongside detailed AutoCAD drawings, helping projects progress from design through to site.

This entry-level role offers hands-on drafting experience, DXF/NC file creation for workshop processing, and drawing packs for workshop and site.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the construction industry.
• Interpersonal skills to sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Producing accurate steel/TEKLA drawings and accurate cladding detailed AutoCAD drawings
• Producing DXF and NC files for workshop processing of steel
• Issuing drawing packs to workshop and site
• Upkeeping of drawing office procedures including storage of engineering documents
• Liaising with clients, suppliers and professionals (architects, engineers, etc.)

Job description

We’re growing our design team and looking for a Junior/Trainee CAD Detailer.

You’ll support our design team with the production of accurate steel and TEKLA drawings, alongside detailed AutoCAD drawings. You’ll also work closely with our operations and project teams, supporting the delivery of projects from design through to site.

Your role will include:

• Producing accurate steel/TEKLA drawings and accurate cladding detailed AutoCAD drawings
• Producing DXF and NC files for workshop processing of steel
• Issuing drawing packs to workshop and site
• Upkeep of drawing office procedures including storage of engineering documents
• Liaising with clients, suppliers and professionals (architects, engineers, etc.)
