Job summary

EdEx Education Recruitment is seeking an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to join a Barking & Dagenham primary school. This full-time, term-time role starts September 2026, supporting pupils with communication needs under guidance from staff.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates with some SEN, childcare, tutoring, or school experience and a genuine interest in pursuing Speech and Language therapy or related fields. Training and support are provided.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate seeking experience in Speech and Language support.
• Experience with children or tutoring is desirable and beneficial for the role.
• Interest in pursuing Speech and Language Therapy, psychology, SEN or education.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent care and support to pupils needing Speech and Language assistance.
• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 & KS2.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff and external professionals to deliver activities.
