Job summary

MTR Partnership is seeking a proactive Trainee/Assistant Site Manager to support the day-to-day management of a residential development in North Yorkshire. You will coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress, and ensure works comply with drawings, specs and building regulations.

Ideal candidates will have construction site experience, a relevant qualification, and CSCS cards (desirable). The role offers a clear path for career progression within a growing housebuilder, with a competitive salary

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a construction site-based role.
• Experience working as an Assistant Site Manager or Trainee Site Manager.
• Good understanding of construction processes, sequencing and subcontractor management.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements and quality control procedures.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work in a team.
• Proactive attitude and attention to detail in delivering quality homes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager in day-to-day management of the development.
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor progress against the construction programme.
• Ensure works follow drawings, specifications and regulations.
• Maintain high health and safety standards on site.
• Carry out regular quality inspections and address defects promptly.
• Monitor workmanship to meet delivery standards.
• Assist with site paperwork, progress reports and H&S documentation.
• Support customer care and handover processes for smooth delivery.
