Job summary

New Directions are working with a local SEND school in the Walsall area to recruit full-time SEND Teaching Assistants. The role focuses on supporting children with special educational needs in a classroom setting and requires prior SEND experience from transferable backgrounds such as care or support work. Immediate start with term-time hours.

Hours are 08:30 to 15:30, Monday to Friday, with pay between £92.56 and £98.03 per day. The position is paid weekly, and DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with SEND in transferable settings such as care, residential, or support work backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning and development of local children who require additional support.
• Work Monday to Friday during term-time, 08:30–15:30, to support classroom activities.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment and assist with activities as needed.
