Prospero Teaching is excited to announce opportunities for dedicated graduates to join a secondary school in the Knowsley area as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Based in Kirkby, L32, the role runs full-time from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, starting September 2026.

This temporary, long-term placement offers exposure to classroom support and pupil development within a vibrant school environment. You will help with behaviour management, provide emotional support, monitor wellbeing, and assist safeguarding

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to apply for a new one.
• Two professional references covering at least 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Behaviour management: foster a positive learning environment.
• Providing emotional support to students in personal matters.
• Monitoring well-being and reporting concerns to staff.
• Safeguarding procedures followed when required.
• Collaborating with teachers to ensure smooth lessons.
