Job summary

KPI Education is recruiting a Graduate Physics Unqualified Teacher for a secondary school in Watford. You will deliver Physics lessons, support the science curriculum and develop classroom skills while preparing for a teacher training pathway starting September 2027.

Ideal candidates hold a Physics degree (or related field), with a 2:1 or first-class honours preferred, and demonstrate strong subject knowledge and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Physics, Astrophysics, Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Ideally possess a 2:1 or First-Class Honours degree.
• Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Science education.
• Be confident communicating complex scientific concepts in an engaging and accessible way.
• Possess strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be enthusiastic, resilient and willing to learn from experienced educators.
• Have a genuine ambition to become a qualified Physics Teacher.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Physics lessons across KS3 and KS4 with appropriate support and guidance.
• Support planning and delivery of the Science curriculum.
• Develop effective classroom management and teaching strategies.
• Encourage pupils to develop enthusiasm for Physics, scientific discovery and problem solving.
• Support GCSE students with subject knowledge, revision and exam preparation.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Work closely with experienced teachers to develop subject pedagogy and teaching practice.
• Prepare for progression into a formal teacher training programme in September 2027.
