Norfolk County Council's Educational Psychology and Specialist Support (EPSS) invites applications for an Assistant Educational Psychologist (AEP) on a temporary fixed term contract until August 2028, 37 hours per week, Soulbury AEP Scale.

The post is the first step toward becoming a Trainee EP within a structured 20‑month programme, with supervision, training and broad experience in statutory assessment, prevention and research.

Qualifications

• Holds a BPS-accredited Psychology degree.
• Demonstrates commitment to pursuing a career in Educational Psychology.
• Shows capacity for reflection, learning and professional growth.
• Willing to engage in a structured development programme over 20 months.

Responsibilities

• Support development and delivery of educational psychology activities.
• Assist with observations, information gathering and statutory processes.
• Contribute to prevention, early intervention work and training delivery.
• Support research, quality assurance and service development projects.
