Job summary

Hafod y Wern Community Primary School is seeking a friendly Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join the Early Years team. The role is full-time, term-time, with 30 hours per week, supporting children both in and out of the classroom.

You will work under teachers to aid numeracy, literacy and ICT development, assist with resources, and support pupils with additional learning needs. On-the-job training and safeguarding guidance are provided.

Responsibilities

• Work full-time in a primary school as a Teaching Assistant in the Early Years.
• Support pupils with numeracy and literacy.
• Assist with ICT and digital skills development.
• Support creative and play-based learning activities.
• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning needs (ALN).
• Help prepare displays and resources and assist with classroom tasks.
