Job summary

Delta Hotels by Marriott Worsley Park Country Club in the UK seeks a Commis Chef to join our busy kitchen team. You will receive training from senior chefs and, after training, work confidently and independently.

You will prepare ingredients, maintain fridges and storage, cook and plate dishes to approved recipes, and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely, keeping stations clean and temperatures recorded. This role provides hands-on learning in a premium hotel kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Work enthusiastically as a member of our busy kitchen team
• Undertake training & development from senior chefs
• Following training, be confident in working self sufficiently
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling & chopping
• Maintain fridges and other food storage areas, monitoring and recording temperatures
• Cook and plate food according to agreed recipes and standards
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers in a safe manner & ensuring correctness of temperatures.
• Set-up and break down work station, washing and disinfecting kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
